Our Featured Athletes page is designed to highlight and recognize Mid-Pacific's exceptional student-athletes. Nominations are made by the coaching staff and the Athletic Department. Two High School students as well as two Middle School students will be featured on a bi-weekly basis. Congratulations to our newest Featured Athletes!
Amy Warrington is one of the top sprinters in the ILH for track and field. Recently Amy qualified for the state meet in the 100 meter run, the 200 meter run, and the 400 meter run. Amy is always in the top 5 in her 3 races in the very tough ILH league. At the most recent meet at Kamehameha she broke the Mid-Pacific school record for 200 meter dash. Amy looks forward to competing in the state meet next month on the Big Island in all of her events.
Hugh Donlon competes in the long, triple and high jump on the track and field team. Hugh has consistently placed 1st in the high jump during the ILH season meets. He currently ranks 2nd in the state with a height of 6'2" in the high jump and has qualified for the state track meet on the Big Island in May. Hugh has a great attitude in practice and in the meets, and he looks forward to competing in his 2nd state meet.
Camilla Bogdanoff has handled the job of alternating between both hole guard and hole set for the intermediate water polo team. Her tough defense and scoring ability has sealed several wins for the team. Her 3 goals against Punahou came when the team needed them the most, allowing Mid-Pacific to take the lead on several occasions. She is admired by her teammates and praised for her strong game play.
Jeffrey Matsueda was instrumental in helping Mid-Pacific win their first Intermediate ILH Baseball championship. He finished the season leading the team in batting average (.545), hits (18), and RBI's (14). He also did a phenomenal job pitching, finishing the season with a record of 3-0 and an ERA of 1.50.
